EVDO means that a phone can get on the internet pretty fast (but not as fast as 3G). Note that you’ll need a data plan.

QWERTY Keypad means that a phone has a computer-style keypad that you can use to text with instead of having to use the number buttons.

I’ve never owned either of those two phones.
